First time there but won't be the last. Just thinking about my meal makes my mouth water. Get anything that has the pablano heavy cream sauce and you'll be hooked. Nice western atmosphere, full bar, super friendly staff and down right awesome food. Stopped there on the way to San Isabel forest to see the fall colors. Colors not even close to peaking so back next week to see. Know where I'll be eating!! Expect to pay ten dollars plus for a sandwich meal. Good sized portions.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Be hungy as the portions are rather gracious. Friendly staff and fellow customers. A must stop when in the area. Well worth the trip.
My husband and I went for dinner our first night in town. We ordered appetizers for our meal. Which we do often. Wings- good, but only got 6. Mozzarella sticks- good, but only got 5. Chips and salsa- great homemade chips. Small portion. Overall, quite pricy $$ for the portions. We left not full.
Max's USED to be my favorite place to eat breakfast when visiting Rye.... This is my new favorite (breakfast burrito with green chili sauce). And the bacon is awesome thick cut, good cure, and cooked perfect.
